Some months ago I visited the Digital Art Museum in Tokyo. I remember tooking hundreds of pictures at this place. Some of them even made it to my Instagram profile. In some pictures I was standing in a huge room in front of a mirror . My whole face was covered by my reflex camera. It would be almost a typical mirror Selfie BUT! behind me were white balloons flying wildly through the air . The room light has changed its color every few seconds. In the end all the pictures I made had a very unique look. God damn for me as a hobby photographer it was lit! Anyway below the picture I added the following description:

My biggest fear is that I will not Change myself in a world where everything happens so fast.

Right after the upload I was asked by someone what’s the exact meaning of this sentence.

I told …

Dear anonymous person or even friend …

We live in the 20th century. It’s the time you can compare with a express train. Jump on the bandwagon or get lost. While half of us jump, the others stop dead in their tracks. At least some of us are trying to deal with the fast pace of our times because they know it better than the deep-rooted trees, as I like to call them. So I aske you…what kind of person do you want to be? Really, you don’t have much time to think. There is no time for long considerations cause we’re running low of time for decisions. I don’t mean to rush you, but seriously… sit down and ask yourself who you want to be and how you become exactly this person. I know how difficult it can be to break away from certain habits but sometimes you have to change yourself in a world that is different every day. You have to learn, analyze, understand and then grow. Life is quite complicated and can be mean sometimes but that’s just how it is. Life isn’t a roundabout. It’s much more of a wild rollercoaster. Sometimes you are at the top and then oh dear! The next second you’re back deep down. But’s that’s fine I mean a constant climax would be too exhausting anyway 😉 #notforunderage
